PHYSIOLOGY

The face: that is what defines Shotaru's person. No matter what, the man seems to bear a great poise in his visage that radiates confidence. When looking at his face, one can tell that he is experienced not only in the ways of the battlefield, but in the ways of life as well. Rarely does his face ever give away his emotions either, and if it does, you can assume that he wanted it that way. Even when angry it tends not to show. Instead, it radiates from the man as a silent rage. He is, essentially, a stone face to most around him. It is the face of a leader.

After this is his habanero red hair, which is the undying trait of his Uzumaki inheritance. Exotic to say the least, Shotaru inherited the trait from his mother. His mane runs short, habanero waves flowing down down to the bottom of his neck. From a front-side view, the hair forms bangs that fall into the man's face, yet they are so short that they do not disrupt his vision, falling conveniently between the eyes. When it comes to his style, his hair naturally spikes, and he combs it to give it the look that it has.

Accompanying this is the man's golden irises. An exotic color as well, he inherited this trait from his father, and they are the undying symbol of his Takeda heritage. Those who have stared into the man's eyes note that they are as vibrant as the riches of the earth, which seems to be the case with most Takeda clan members. However, they can also be as cold as metal itself, and this is the look that people will find more often than not. It doesn't mean that he's angry; rather, it means that he is serious. They are the eyes of a leader, shifting to tell whatever tale he wants them to portray.

After this there is Shotaru's body, the blessed body of his hybrid heritage. He has a naturally built physique, or rather a physique destined to be built, which shows in how sculpted, defined, and large his muscles are. For his build, he is very lean. Granted, most regular people would identify him as bulky (and with good reason). In truth, his muscular build is very condensed and compacted, and it is impossible for a non-Takeda to properly assess Shotaru's physical power upon first glance. While born and raised in Yukigakure, his skin tone is more akin to a cream as opposed to being pale. In terms of measurements, he stands at around six feet tall and weighs in at two-hundred twenty five pounds.

In terms of attire, he can be found most often wearing the vest of Yukigakure no Sato. The design is that of a substance similar to Kevlar, which provides more protection against projectiles and, to an extent, bladed weapons than the vests of other villages. It comes equipped with shoulder guards and six pockets that are used to hold extra equipment. White in color, there is also a Yinyang symbol on the vest's back. With this, he wears a dark-blue, sleeveless, skin tight shirt and matching bottoms. His footwear consists of white, open-toed shinobi boots. As a Combat Medic, he also keeps a large, field pouch to hold any necessary medical supplies.

[/i]. In terms of distance, his ability to track via smell is about a mile's distance, and although this may be impressive for people, it is below average for a Takeda clan member with a strong nose. He makes up for this in quality though, as he can identify people not only by their scents, but by the "smell" of their chakra, which essentially the same as a chakra signature. Similarly, he can also judge the general size of a person's chakra reserves through his nose. That being said, he is better at tracking chakra than he is scents, and this is ideal in some circumstances.

When it comes to his other abilities, his senses have no stand out strengths. His sight is at least two times better than a regular person's, his ability to taste is more acute, the sense of touch can more accurately identify texture and feel, and his hearing can pick on a wider spectrum than regular people. Aside from his naturally strong nose, Shotaru has trained ears. He has been through several methods of training that allow him to interpret the world around him via hearing alone, and this is his back-up if ever his eyes fail.

When it comes to his body, Shotaru is noticeably trained. His movements are quick and explosive, tailored around sudden action. He possess a great deal of raw strength, being able to lift around six-hundred pounds, and he has to workout with what most would consider extreme weights for his size in order to keep up his healthy shape. When it comes to the sprint accessible via his clan's unique running stance, Shotaru could easily cover ten meters in flash. And finally, he poses a formidable striking power, capable of breaking bones with the right technique. However, he uses this strength instead to assault the pressure points and weak points of a person's body.

Mental Aptitude

Shotaru's mental ability consists of two main things: his own, natural intelligence and the intuition inherited from the Takeda clan. Both make him a very smart and knowledgeable man. Being highly analytical and even more intuitive, he can pick up on things very quickly, and given the things that he has seen and lost in life, it isn't easy to take him off guard. During such times that he is taken aback though, he retains the ability to quickly adjust and adapt to the situation. Not only analytical, Shotaru is also equally intuitive, and this is how he is able to decode most situations down to the "T". As such, the Uzumaki exceptional when it comes to drawing conclusions and putting together missing pieces, and he is even better at observing and assessing situations.

This is attributed to his great medical knowledge, which has made him the great Iryōnin that he is amongst Yukigakure no Sato. This knowledge is not just in the body, but it is also in his understanding of genetics, which he uses to aid the head of the Research Division on occasion. It is with this knowledge that he has created such techniques as Saisei no Jutsu, which grant him the ability to regenerate and regrow missing body parts. He is also well-versed with many different pressure points and weak points on the human body, and he uses this knowledge in his physical combat.

Finally is Shotaru's worth as a tactician, which is the finest within the village next to his Jōnin Hanchō. A master of logistics first and foremost, he boasts great ability and directed and guiding his army. He is the type of person who can find an allies strengths and weaknesses after only a short time fighting alongside them, and he can order formations on the fly to fit these areas of expertise. Similarly, he pick apart the strengths and weaknesses of opposing formations just as quickly, which makes him a dangerous opponent to fight. For this reason he became a division captain during the three year long mini-war of the Great Divergence. The most dangerous aspect of Shotaru however is that he never enters a fight unprepared. More often than not, he does as much research as possible on a person before he fights them, and if he can't do it before hand, he will do it through battle by means of misdirection. However, don't be surprised if you're fighting full force against Shotaru and defeat him . . . only to see him "poof". Most times, he aims to stay a step or two above his opponent.

Seal Knowledge

Shotaru is very gifted when it comes to observing the art of "sealing techniques". Unlike others however, he does not limit this category to just Fūinjutsu, as he himself boasts command over Jūinjutsu and Jutsu-Shiki as well. His knowledge when it comes to seals therefore is very diverse. Not only masterful at using seals, the Lord is also very adept at decoding them. When looking at a seal, he can grasp the basics of its functions by observing its design, and eventually, he will be able to learn its functions. His skill is such that he has created a technique that allows him to weaken seals or completely remove them from their surface. Worthy of note, Shotaru's mastery is such that he could learn to form and employ the "sealing techniques" of others if he can gain a level of understanding of their functions. If he can not understand the seal completely, it is still possible for him to create his own technique by building off of the concepts of the seal in question. That being said, he has a very keen eye when it comes to identifying seals, being able to almost effortlessly differentiate them from regular symbols and/or tattoos.

Combat Medic

As a combat medic, Shotaru is very versed in the ways of Taijutsu combat. Most particularly is his ability to read and decipher the attack patterns of his enemies to adjust his tactics accordingly. He pays attention to many things such as the dominant foot, the dominant hand, the eyes, the face, and other such things that reveal a person's line of attack. He has also learned to read a person's body from the hips down to predict where and when they will move. Cumulatively, this grants him the ability to see through even complex attack patterns from the strongest of shinobi.

In terms of physical combat, Shotaru uses this ability in combination with his medical knowledge and the basics behind the Takeda clan's Taijutsu style to successfully utilize his own form of combat, Chakura no Atsu ("Chakra Pressure"). It is a style that uses chakra as a supplement to assault the pressure points and weak points of a person's body. This grants him the ability to easily kill and disable with even the slightest of taps. His striking speed and accuracy with this style is above impressive. This is because he doesn't need the same "pull" as other Taijutsu combatants to cause damage, so the speed of his strikes are like "one-inch" punches. The style also revolves around waiting and listening and observing, a principal of the Takeda's combat style, which stresses the ability to read attack patterns further.

Lastly, as a medic, Shotaru has access to precise chakra control. If his reserves aren't comparable to a Jinchūriki alone, the combination of his control would definitely put it up there. This is ideal for his healing abilities, and is attribute to his trademark as a medic. Shotaru’s most redeeming skill as an Iryōnin is not his ability to heal, but his ability to stabilize. In a matter of minutes, he can completely stabilize even the worst of injuries, ensuring the safety of the patient’s status before healing the wound and/or affliction, and this is reflected in his personal survival rate. Due partially to his Takeda heritage, he is also knowledgeable of various herbs, drugs, and poisons, and he has incorporated all of these into a variety of different techniques. The deadliest thing about this knowledge is that most of his weapons are coated in concoctions that produce various effects on the human body.
