He moves with the speed of the wind, with agility and dexterity like poetry; in motion, Isha is arguably the single most fastest shinobi alive. Not of his physical merits, the Lord of the Grass gained his renown through a very simple path: gaining complete mastery and control over the Shunshin no Justu. Of course, this is only the top layer known to the public. Underneath the speed is a greater danger in that Isha has mastered various forms of distractions to use in combination with the technique, one of which is the Doku-Shunshin (毒瞬; "Poison Body Flicker")

Formal Assessment

physiology

Ironic as it may be, Isha's appearance is marked by exotic features that cause him to stand out amongst any crowd. The first of these would be his hair. White at its apexes and black underneath, he usually styles his awkward hair as to prevent any annoyances. This is often in the style of a single, tied ponytail; however, it isn't rare to see the hair worn freely, which results in it sticking backward as if jell had been applied to it. He has three bangs: two that slide down to either right or left sides of his faces, and a middle bang that falls into his face. After his hair, there are his golden eyes, so described by people because they come very close to the color of actual gold, and it has been remarked by few that his lethargic stare wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for that metallic color beaming forth from his irises. Lastly would be his olive skin tone, which isn't so much as exotic as his other features.

Aside from that, his appearance also boasts a certain, audacious ambiance of majesty, or royalty. And while his personality plays a big part in that, his posture is just as important. He stands straight, sits straight, and walks straight, and such body language gives off a certain feel when read by the subconscious minds of other people. It was one of the things drilled into him by his father, but of course, you can't have such a great stature without the support to back it up; and this is where the lord's fitness comes in. Though it is hard to tell when he is clothed, bare flesh will reveal a healthy, strong, lithe build reminiscent of the body of a gymnast. And standing at five and ten inches tall and weighing in at one-hundred seventy-five pounds, all of these things work together to support Isha's combat style.

His clothing consists of, on a casual basis, a modified version of the the Kusa Lord attire. With his village's chosen color being ivory, this modified version of the lord's attire consists of an ivory, high-collared, sleeveless mantle that splits down the lower half (for movement purposes), and this is supplemented by an ebony obi that secures the mantle at the waist. A bit of background: on the back of the mantle is, written in ebony ink, the maxim: "Where there is dirt, grass shall grow (汚れがある場合、草育つするものと; "Yogore ga aru baai, kusa sodatsu suru mono to")," a saying developed by the Kinpatsu clan that has since lead to a philosophy similar to the Leaf's Will of Fire, and on the front of the obi, centered, is the emblem of the Kinpatsu clan. The mantles itself also comes equipped with pockets that have internal holsters for small scrolls. There is one pocket on each hip with two holsters per pocket. Underneath his mantle, Isha wears a long-sleeve, ebony shirt, and for bottoms he wears quarter-length, ebony pants. The pant legs are always secured in ivory wrappings that make up the length, and instead of wearing open-toed, shinobi boots, he wears ebony sandals fitted with a strap that rises from the heels and secures around the ankles and soles designed for combat; and instead of a headband, he wears a thin, loosely fitted, chain necklace with a nameplate that bears the emblem of the Grass. It is worn in such a way that it can be seen in the center of the Lord's neck through his opened collar.

In times of war and combat, or at least times where the threat seems impending, Isha dresses more battle ready. In these times, his colors are swapped: his under garments are ivory and his main wear is ebony. For example, his bottoms become ivory, but he loses his top for a more form-fitting, sleeveless, ivory top. His leg wrapping also becomes ebony, and his sandals become ivory. Over his top shirt he wears a more modern version of the shinobi armor of old, using better materials than the metallic plates of yesteryear. Instead, he crafted his armor out of carbon fiber, which appears much like the material used in flak vests. Like those armors of old, Isha's armor comes equipped with a chest plate, shoulder guards, and guards for the thighs. Each of the thigh guards split at the top of the thighs , so that there are four, separate guards that cover left, right, front, and back. Not only is this armor more form-fitting than armor of old, but it is also more easily fortified, as Isha has styled it with a moderately thick layer of a metallic alloy that is both durable and light enough as not to become cumbersome. The armor, of course, is ebony. For background: his armor also bears the emblem of his clan of its back, written in ivory ink. It also has a total of six pockets for versatility: two on either breast and a single pocket on either left and right thighs. The breast pockets can hold only one scroll each while the thigh pockets are large enough to store two each. He also does not wear a headband with this armor either. Instead, he wears arm guards that bear the insignia of Kusagakure no Sato. These arm guards are also ebony in color.

Lastly is his weapon placement. The only visible weapon that Isha will carry on his person is his sword, Hebimaru, and sometimes even that remains stored in one of his scrolls. As a combat medic, he also bears a pouch filled with certain items to aid him in his role. This pouch is typically large enough to cover his entire buttocks were he to wear it, but he typically keeps this sealed too. Instead, he wears a smaller pouch that is designed to hold small weaponry and supplementary items. He also only wears a kunai holster in his casual attire, and that is on his right thigh.

An astute aura and a disciplined attitude paint Isha's personality almost as if by nature. And in truth, drilled into his cranium as those concepts were by his dad, they may as well be traits that he was graced with at birth. He harbors an uncanny patience about himself and endeavors, retaining the ability to remain steadfast in his approach to those things by which his mind has become set. To a point, he scrutinizes everything, and he has the tendency to be very meticulous on occasion. It gets to a point where, if you walk into his office or his study with something wrong, he will point it out and ask you to correct it. Of course, his assistants, all save those who don't like having nothing to do, love him to this respect because he stays on top of his work. Granted, there are many who say that this nature makes him a dull person to be around, that talking to him is like watching the grass grow. Of course, it's true. Talking to Isha will usually mean being under a scrutinizing and lethargic visage accompanied by frank speech.

To an extent, one could say that the Lord turned out just like his father: proud of his heritage, resolute in his beliefs, and defined by his jaded relationship with the world. And these are amongst the things that he most busies himself with in the realm of thought and contemplation, and as the the law of yin-yang so happens to unfold, this has lead him to inherit his father's demons as well. At the core of how Isha views people, for example, is his understanding of humanity--that at the core of human nature, the hearts of men are deceitful and desperately wicked. His lack of trust of people, even his own village-men, then, is second nature, and it begets the cynical affliction of dejection from the world itself, most particularly as far as people are concerned. And as his father before him, Isha is subjected to an existence of self-imposed solitude, and he struggles with depression and paranoia and loneliness, all to their own degrees. He has long since been a man of nature because of such an existence, finding solace in the welcoming waves of tree branches as they embrace the worldly breeze; and letting his spirit embrace the spiritual breeze that resonates from such a connection.

Yet, in a way, it all seems to counterbalance, for he has so much pride in his village that he can manage having to deal with his fellows on a day to day basis. Because as much as his life is defined by his jaded relationship with the world, it is equivocally defined by his love for Kusagakure no Sato, which itself is rooted in the legacy of the Kinpatsu clan, one of the founding clans of the village. You see, the Kinpatsu are Isha's family, and his family's home is Kusagakure no Sato, a residence built by his ancestor's own hands for their descendants to inherit; and that was how his pride started off: he had to protect his family's home. However, like few people find themselves doing, Isha's love and ownership of his home soon expanded to become a love and ownership of his community, and the word "village" soon took on a double meaning: the home of his family and the people themselves—the meanings were separate-but-interchangeable both at the same time. And again, as his father before him, this lead Isha into the grasps of another demon, for as Isha grew to be proud of his heritage and resolute in his beliefs, he also grew to be a guardian of his own. Simply put, it is very possible that Isha is the most sordid of village leaders, with actions seedier than a vegetable farm.

As far as his leadership is concerned, Isha isn't the type of person who has the privilege of saying that he was born a leader. Instead, he would proclaim that he was born to be a leader, which makes all the difference. It was his destiny, as constructed by his father, for Isha to inherit the role of Lord of Kusagakure, driven by the fact that a member of the Kinpatsu had never held the position even though they were the most influential clan to the village's founding. And at first, Isha was reluctant to follow the plan, but the progenitor of his father's envy soon became his own aspiration. He leads Kusagakure out of his love for the village, and that love is ever prevalent to those around him. He prefers for it to be known because it serves as an example for others. He rules not with an iron fist, but with a firm hand; for he understands that understanding blossoms trust, affection, and wisdom. Under such a guise, men become more accepting to reproach, and so it is easier to correct the faults of his men, if only because they perceive it as good intent. He calls his men to be sharp, tenacious, patient, diligent, and cunning; and by the very nature that was imposed upon him in his early age, Isha leads by example.

But as the road of life would have it, Isha completely drops these principles when it comes to his namesake: the daughter born to him by an unexpected mate. He is protective of his daughter. No, he is overprotective of his daughter, and although he would never rule his people with an iron fist, his household has always been on lock down from the day that his daughter entered her "mine" stage. He has held her under strict rules from the beginning, rarely even letting her out of the house to play or socialize. For him, her life was about studying and learning and training in the ways of life of ninja-hood so that she could one day protect herself on her own. And although he never told her, he was strengthening her up for the life of a Jinchūriki. However, make no mistake, it isn't accurate to say that Isha loves his daughter. In fact, he bore her for the sole purpose of occupying the Jinchūriki position. His protectiveness comes not from love, but out of the need to protect his investment, and an obligation to his late love. And he isn't a fool. He knows that his daughter probably senses this, despite the fact that he doesn't try to hide it. However, he does trust her, for reasons he can't explain. And she didn't have to earn that trust, for reasons that are even more so inexplicable. Whether that is a fault of love or not remains a mystery to the man.

As far as his relationship with his friends, it is first important to note that the number of his friends could be considered both proverbially and literally few and far between. It is secondly important to go back to the reason why he has few friends in the first place: he doesn't trust people, so being a friend of Isha's is something remarkable—definitely more so than the average man. Although he treats his friends almost exactly like regular people, slight differences can be noted in the fact that he is more prone to trust them with things, and instead of commanding them to do these things, he requests their aid instead. He is also harder on those that he considers friends, much like he is with his daughter, because he wants to see them succeed more so than anyone else. This is another one of his demons though as it has pushed many people away in the past. Then, there are the inexplicable rarity even amongst the ones that he calls "friends", the ones who can somehow manage to get him to act as closely to a regular person as is mentally possible for him. This is reserved to people whom he loves, but it comes with an overbearing since of ownership and protection and worrying. Whereas he has lost friends in the past for his inclinations, Isha has stepped away from the rarities of his own accord in the past: this he has done for his own sake.

Combat Medic

As a combat medic, Isha is very versed in the ways of close-quarters-combat. Most particularly is his ability to read and decipher the attack patterns of his enemies to adjust his tactics accordingly. He pays attention to many things, such as the dominant foot, the dominant hand, the eyes, the face, and other such things that reveal a person's line of attack. He has also learned to read a person's body movements and momentum shifts from the hips down to predict when and where they will move. Cumulatively, this grants him the ability to see through the attack patterns and weaknessess of even the strongest of shinobi with surprising ease.

In terms of actual, offensive combat, he wields a special sword by the name of Hebimaru, which he uses to store and administer his special drugs. With this weapon, the ideal is simply to get a cut on the body, which will then transfer a great amount of the stored substance into a person's body. This is typically his primary form of combat for deceptive reasons, and he is fluent enough in the ways of Kenjutsu to hide his true, close combat abilities. If ever he has to enter hand-to-hand combat, he takes on an unorthodox style among combat medics, using the Mystical Palm to overload the target's system--which in turn puts them in a comatose state. He can also use it to kill if the circumstances are right, though this is not possible in heated combat. Whether he uses his sword or the Mystical Palm really comes down to which is the most advantageous strategically.

Lastly, as a medic, Isha has access to precise chakra control. This is ideal for his healing abilities, and is attribute to his trademark as a medic. Isha’s most redeeming skill as an Iryōnin is not his ability to heal per se, but his ability to stabilize. In a matter of minutes, he can completely stabilize even the worst of injuries, ensuring the safety of the patient’s status before healing the wound and/or affliction, and this is reflected in his personal survival rate. Along with his anatomical knowledge is a fine knowledge of the brain, and he can heal and reverse psychological damage from Genjutsu as well. Due partially to his years of study, he also possesses great knowledge of various herbs, drugs, and poisons, and he has incorporated all of these into a variety of different techniques. The deadliest thing about this knowledge is that most of his weapons are coated in concoctions that produce various effects on the human body. He has also used this knowledge to create various, powerful drugs, as well as building an immunity to some of the most dangerous poisons out there.

Anatomical Modifications

From the age of fifteen, Isha has performed numerous modifications to his body that have resulted in certain boosts to his power, abilities, and potential: all tailored to increase his chances of winning fights, for the most part. One such modification is something that he calls the V-gland ("V" for vitality) located on his heart. When activated, this gland will release enzymes directly into the bloodstream by way of the heart, amplifying his physical and mental energies tend fold. However, this gland can only be used once a day, or else he will die from heart failure due to the unnatural action that activating the gland brings. His second modification, that is his heightened regenerative ability, is actually the result of several, smaller modifications that cumulatively form that one. With his regenerative capabilities as they are, he is able to recover from minor wounds in five seconds at the most; mild wound can range anywhere from thirty seconds to two minutes; and major and severe wounds that would normally take weeks for most people can be healed with overnight rest ranging from a day to three days for Isha. This regenerative factor is also the reason why he appears to be in his prime, and it has slowed his body's aging ever since it was perfected during Isha's twenty-fifth year of life. Arguably the crux to this ability is the fact that Isha's blood produces enzymes similar to Minazuki's, which grants his blood direct, healing capabilities; this of course is very important since the entirety of the blood uses blood.

Seal Knowledge

Isha is very gifted when it comes to observing the art of "sealing techniques". Unlike others however, he does not limit this category to just Fūinjutsu, as he himself boasts command over Jūinjutsu and Jutsu-Shiki as well. His knowledge when it comes to seals therefore is very diverse. Not only masterful at using seals, the Lord is also very adept at decoding them. When looking at a seal, he can grasp the basics of its functions by observing its design, and eventually, he will be able to learn its functions. His skill is such that he has created a technique that allows him to weaken seals or completely remove them from their surface. Worthy of note, Isha's mastery is such that he could learn to form and employ the "sealing techniques" of others if he can gain a level of understanding of their functions. If he can not understand the seal completely, it is still possible for him to create his own technique by building off of the concepts of the seal in question. That being said, he has a very keen eye when it comes to identifying seals, being able to almost effortlessly differentiate them from regular symbols and/or tattoos.

Mental Aptitude

Isha's mental ability consists of two main things: his intelligence and his intuition. Both make him a very smart and knowledgeable man. Being highly analytical and even more intuitive, he can pick up on things rather quickly, and given the things that he has seen and done in life, it isn't easy to take him off guard. During such times that he is taken aback though, he retains the ability to quickly adjust and adapt to the situation. Not only analytical, he is also equally intuitive, and this is how he is able to decode most situations down to the "T". As such, he is exceptional when it comes to drawing conclusions and putting together missing pieces, and he is even better at observing and assessing situations.

This is attributed to his great medical knowledge, which has made him the fearsome Iryōnin that he is. This knowledge is not just in the body, but it is also in his understanding of genetics, which he uses to aid his own endeavors. It is with this knowledge that he has created such techniques as Genetic Cultivation, which grant him the ability to cultivate cells, and such drugs as his Shiranugahotokeda, which is a powerful thought inhibitor. He is also very knowledgeable of poisons and herbs and various drugs, which has lead him to building an immunity to most common and some rare poisons.

Finally is Isha's worth as a tactician, which is of the finest caliber one could encounter. A master of logistics first and foremost, he boasts great ability at directing and guiding people. He is the type of person who can find an ally's strengths and weaknesses after only a short time fighting alongside them, and he can order formations on the fly to fit these areas of expertise. Similarly, he can pick apart the strengths and weaknesses of opposing formations just as quickly, which makes him a dangerous opponent to fight. The most dangerous aspect of Isha however is that he never enters a fight unprepared. More often than not, he does as much research as possible on a person before he fights them, and if he can't do it before hand, he will do it through battle by means of misdirection. Therefore, don't be surprised if you're fighting full force against the the man and defeat him . . . only to see him "poof". Most times, he aims to stay a step or two above his opponent.
